Tenerife Bars Pubs Clubs Nightlife
Tenerife Bars and Pubs.
The Bars, Pubs, Clubs and nightlife in Tenerife is excellent and offers something for everyone.
After spending a hard day on the beach soaking up the sun you'll probably want to check out some of the bars and pubs Tenerife has to offer.
Most of the bars show live sports of all kinds as well as favourite Soap operas and comedies on Large Screen TV's. While in other bars and pubs you'll find Bingo, Games, Quizzes, Karaoke and Pool Competitions to help pass away your days or down a few pints of Guinness, Caffrey's or Murphy's in one of the many Irish Bars.
Most bars and pubs close in the small hours when people have either had enough or are moving on to the clubs.
Tenerife Clubs.
The Clubbing areas in Tenerife tend to open later in the evening around 11pm and rarely close before 4am the next day with some staying open until 5am or 6am.
You will rarely find you have to pay an entrance fee into a club in Tenerife during the weekday but some may charge on the weekends.
Look out for free promotional tickets being given away through the week to get free entrance into your favourite club on the weekend.
Also expect to pay a little more for your drinks than you would in the bars and pubs.
Playa de las Americas is definately the Hottest place for late night partying. The area now known as 'The Patch' host a collection of bars and pubs and great family entertainment with most bars being children friendly and serving food all day. The areas known as 'Veronicas' and the Starco commercial centre which, are literally next door to each other, are where you'll find even more bars and clubs.
Playa de las Americas Gay Clubs.
There are 5 or 6 Gay bars clubs in Playa de las Americas just a short walk away to the east from Veronica's, located in the Salytien shopping center. Geminis, Chaplin's, GaySha, PuntaZero and others.
Playa de las Americas Gripes.
The majority of gripes about Playa de las Americas is usually about the flyer distributors and the odd pocket being picked.
Unfortunatly there is not a lot you can do about the flyer distributors, they are there to earn a few euros while at the same time entice you into the bar or club they are working for. It's just something you will have to get used to!
The pick pockets on the other hand are seperate issue and common sense prevails as it would anywhere in the World not just in Tenerife. Ditch the wallet that holds all money and cash cards. Draw enough money through the day so you don't need to take any cash cards out with you in the evenings and leave them at your accommodation. Keep your cash in your front trouser pockets or one with a zip or inside jacket pocket. Most pick pockets are opportunists and will pray on the very drunk.
Los Cristianos.
To south west of Playa de las Americas lies the Town of Los Cristianos.
Said to be a little more upmarket than Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos is only 15 minutes from the airport of Reina Sofia and boast some fantastic bars and pubs along the promenade and down by the harbour.
For a night with less hassle from the flyer touts Los Cristianos is a great alternative.
